Please click the link above to see how Bloom consumes enormous space from our 'jewel' town recreation fields.
Bloom will split our town fields - from one large contiguous space, free from cars, parking, roadways and traffic, down to two much smaller recreation areas.
Recently the town enjoyed an evening Drone Show, where thousands of residents stood in the middle of the fields (and were parked on Worthen Road).
Where will such an event occur in the future, if Bloom is realized? Where will the town hold its 4th of July Independence Day celebrations?
The Town has preserved these recreation fields for decades. A new school should not disturb these fields, especially when viable alternatives exist.
Please note the visualizations do not include parking lots, roadways, proposed solar panels and electric vehicle charging. All of these will consume even more space around the school perimeter
and make traversing the recreation area subject to traffic and LESS SAFE.
